Our Ambition: To reduce the use of plastics across our value chain, ranging from SCCL-procured / distributed products and components, plastic materials used for packaging, as well as the broader issue of single-use plastics and the cumulative impacts of these products on the environment.
NHS Supply Chain is committed to supporting the reduction of SUP in its supply chain and aims to reduce plastic catering consumables used by the NHS by 50 tonnes during 2021 / 2022. During 2019 / 2020 alone, the NHS purchased 184 tonnes of plastic catering consumables.
