Contract Update Temporary Ordering Closure Edwards Lifesciences Transition to Becton Dickinson UK Ltd (ICN 3514)

Change:

• The supplier Edwards Lifesciences has informed us of a temporary ordering black out period to allow their internal ordering systems to switch over to Becton Dickinson (BD).
• 39 product codes are affected.
• In September 2024, Edwards Lifesciences completed the sale of its Critical Care business unit to Becton Dickinson.
• Following the acquisition, the former Critical Care business unit was integrated into BD and is now known as Advanced Patient Monitoring.
• This will affect the supply of eDirect products from Edwards Lifesciences across the three portfolios:
  • Intravenous and Pressure Monitoring Accessories
  • Patient Monitoring Equipment, Bedside Equipment Alarm Monitoring Systems
  • Maintenance, Repair and Calibration of Medical Equipment.
• Ordering eDirect products must be completed before the 26 October 2026.
• Stocked products will be available to order through the online catalogue, subject to stock availability.
• eDirect products will be suspended and unavailable to order during this period.
• We will advise once this transition from Edwards Lifesciences to Becton Dickinson is completed.
• Ordering systems is anticipated to be resolved by 2 November 2026.

Impact:

• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.
• All orders should be raised before the supplier blackout period.
