Product Update Cardinal Health Suction Consumables Multiple Products (ICN 3083)

• We have added a supplier letter which provides more information on the product update with Suction Consumables and information regarding DEHP.

Change:

• The supplier Cardinal Health has informed us of a product update with some of its Suction Consumables products.
• There are 16 product codes affected.
• The product update is due to the products being rebranded from Covidien to Cardinal Health.

Impact:

• Chest Drainage Units, Thoracic and Trocar Catheters, Y connector extension tubing within the Cardiothoracic product portfolio will be rebranded from Covidien to Cardinal Health brand.
• The Instructions for Use for Cardinal Health Chest Drainage Units (CDUs) have been updated to clarify the intended/target patient population as adults.
• Thora-Seal™ I and Thora-Seal™ II Chest Drainage Units and Argyle™ “Y” Tubing Extension Set are also now made with materials that do not contain DEHP. With this change, the entire Chest Drainage portfolio is now made with materials that do not contain DEHP.
