Product Update G&N Laboratory Clinical Waste Containers (ICN 3480)

Change:

• The supplier G&N Laboratory has informed us of a product update with its clinical waste containers.
• The supplier has increased the unit of issue for these products as an alternative to implementing a price increase due to the increased commodity polypropylene.
• This allows over purchase pricing to remain unchanged while providing a lower cost per individual unit by passing on the savings of less frequent shipping costs.
• Pack sizes are increasing, but the cost to purchase remains the same. The individual each price is reduced as a result.
• There are 30 product codes affected.

Impact:

• The current 30 product codes will be delisted from our online catalogue, and the new product codes will be made available to order on 21 September 2026.
• Whilst the pack size has increased, the total pack price remains broadly unchanged. As a result, the cost per individual item within the pack is reduced.
• We don’t anticipate any disruption to supply.
• This change will have no impact on product specification, manufacturer, clinical functionality or intended use.
• The change relates only to the unit of purchase and issue.
