Product Update Multiple Suppliers Sexual Health IUD Products Notice of Alternative (ICN 2920)

Change:

• The suppliers Durbin PLC and Parburch Medical have informed us of a discontinuation with their IUD products.
• There are seven product codes affected:
• • GEZ161, GEZ164, GEZ181, GEZ163, GEZ85002, GEZ85001 and GEZ85000.
• The supplier is discontinuing these products due to the end of the current Sexual Health and Associated Products framework.

Impact:          

• The affected products are no longer available to order through our online catalogue.
• A potential indirect alternative product is in the process of being set up in our online catalogue:
  • GBB007 – Contraceptive Use – Intra Uterine Device (IUD).
• We will update this ICN once the alternative product code is available to order through our online catalogue.

• If the alternative is not clinically appropriate, alternative products can be sourced on prescription using FP10/drug tariff or purchased direct from the supplier.
