Product Update Salter Labs T/A Airlife Microcuff® Endotracheal Tubes (ICN 2820)

• The transition of the Microcuff® range of Endotracheal Tubes to a new range is continuing.
• Nine further product codes have now delisted from our online catalogue.
• 10 product codes have been delisted in total.
• All replacement product codes have now been updated in the product listing, please see the Indirect Alternatives 1 section for the replacement codes.
• The remaining 18 products are available whilst the supplier and our remaining stocks last. Once stock has depleted, the products will then be delisted.

Change:

• The supplier Salter Labs T/A Airlife has informed us of a product update with its Microcuff® range of Endotracheal Tubes.
• 28 product codes are affected in total.
• To maintain the product’s CE certification status, compliance to the new Medical Device Regulation (MDR) standards, and increase manufacturing capacity to meet customer demands, Microcuff® was moved over to AirLife’s manufacturing capabilities.
• AirLife had to make changes in the manufacturing location, therefore changes in the labelling and product codes.
• Among other product improvements, Microcuff® will now be DEHP free and you will see the Avanos branded product transition to AirLife Microcuff® products.

Impact:

• The current range of Microcuff® lines will shortly be removed and replaced by the new Microcuff® products.
• Product codes are in the process of being created and we will update the ICN once available.
• We will link the replacement product codes to the codes being replaced in our online catalogue to ensure a smooth transition.
• One product code has already been delisted from our online catalogue:
  • FDF2293 – Standard Endotracheal Tube Cuffed without murphy eye.
• The transition is expected to be completed by 25 February 2025.
