Product Update Solventum (Formerly 3M Healthcare) Rebrand Changes to Product Packaging Multiple Products (ICN 3339)

• The transition from 3M Healthcare to Solventum is continuing with the update of its product branding, including packaging, labelling, product names and any related content.
• In phase 2, there are 12 NHS Supply Chain products affected.
• Solventum will continue supplying 3M branded products until existing stock is depleted.

• The phased transition is still expected to complete by end of 2027.
• We will update this ICN and product listing for subsequent phases.

Change:

• The supplier 3M Healthcare became a standalone company called Solventum on 1 April 2024.
• As part of the continued transition, the company has informed us it’s updating its product branding, including packaging, labelling, product names and any related content, from 3M to Solventum.
• In phase 1 there are 33 NHS Supply Chain products affected.

Impact:

• The rebranding will affect Medical and Surgical products across NHS Supply Chain frameworks.
• Products will have new packaging, branding, new Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs), barcodes and images.
• We don’t anticipate any disruption to supply.
• This change will have no impact on:
  • Product design, safety, efficacy, or performance
  • Pricing, NPC/MPC codes, or ordering processes
  • Specifications, formulation, or pack sizes
  • Product availability.

Next Steps:

• Solventum will continue supplying 3M branded products until existing stock is exhausted.
• Orders will then move to the equivalent Solventum branded items, with potential dual GTINs during the changeover.
• The transition will be phased and is expected to complete by the end of 2027.
• We are working with Solventum to update product information and pictures on our online catalogue as products are rebranded.
• Customers should continue ordering as usual.
• Inform your clinical and logistics teams about the packaging changes and reassure them that the products themselves remain the same.
