Change:
- The supplier Becton Dickinson has informed us of a supply issue with its Blood Collection Needle products.
- There are two products affected:
- KFK216 – Blood Collection Needle Safety 22G
- KFK217 – Blood Collection Needle Safety 21G.
- The supply issue is due to manufacturing issues.
- Due to this ongoing supply issue these products are now being threshold managed as they are subject to Protect Demand Management.
Impact:
- KFK216 and KFK217 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
- The affected products are indirect alternatives for each other.
- Another potential indirect alternative product for both affected products is available to order through our online catalogue:
