Important Customer Notice Status Update Type Supply Disruption

- The supplier Becton Dickinson has informed us that the supply issue with its Administration Sets is ongoing.
- One product remains affected:
- FKA848 – Extension set bore narrow male/female luer lock PVC 100cm narrow bore DEHP free extension line with built in anti-siphon valve.
- The affected product remains suspended and unavailable to order. Once stock is received, the product will again be subject to Protect Demand Management.
- FKA848 will then be available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts will be allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
- Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue for the affected products. However, some of these products may also become subject to intermittent supply with the increase in demand.
- We will continue to review the stock to minimise further disruption and will update this ICN as soon as we have further information.
- The supply issue is now anticipated to be resolved by 19 January 2026.
