Supply Issues Becton Dickinson UK Ltd Stock Oxford Extension Sets FKA848 (ICN 3367)

Change:

• The supplier Becton Dickinson UK Ltd Stock Oxford has informed us of a supply issue with one of its extension sets.
• One product is affected:
  • FKA848 – Extension set bore narrow male/female luer lock PVC.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:

• FKA848 is currently available whilst stock lasts, once the stock is depleted the product code will be unavailable to order.
• A potential indirect alternative product is available to order through our online catalogue:
  • FKA040 – Extension set polyethylene lined PVC Low sorbing with anti syphon valve and pinch clamp 205cm 0.7mm id 0.9ml priming.
• FKA848 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
