Supply Issues Becton Dickinson UK Ltd Stock Oxford Safety Blood Collection Sets KFK823 and KFK363 (ICN 3155)

Change:

• The supplier Becton Dickinson UK Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Safety Blood Collection Sets.
• Two product codes are affected:
  • KFK823 – Blood Collection Set Safety 25G Dark blue needle 178mm tubing and luer adapter ultratouch push button type
  • KFK363 – Blood Collection Set Safety 21G green needle 30cm tube and luer adaptor push button type.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue these products are subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:

• KFK823 and KFK363 are available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
