Change:

• The supplier Fresenius Kabi Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Administration Sets.
• One product code is affected:
  • KFK542 – Administration set for use with Volumat Agila infusion pumps Parenteral nutrition set 1.2u air eliminating filter rotating luer lock and stop flow cap VLPN00.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:

• The affected product is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
• Unfortunately, there are no alternatives available. Customers are advised to view the online catalogue for products they deem suitable.
