• The supply issue with the blood pressure cuff range from GE Medical Systems is continuing.
• The issue is a result of challenges associated with a warehousing transition.
• 13 products have now been delisted from our online catalogue.
• 18 affected products are now available to order.
• 46 eDirect products are unavailable to order until the supply issue is resolved.
• FJH9958 is currently suspended and unavailable to order.
• 7 products are subject to Protect Demand Management:
  • FJH9995, FJH9957, FJH9993, FJH9959, FJH9955, FBF056 and FJH8970.
• 54 products are now affected in total.
• Products subject to demand management are still available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.

• We will continue to review the stock to minimise further disruption and will update this ICN as soon as we have further information.
• We do not currently have an anticipated resolution date but aim to update this ICN by 1 October 2026.

Change:

• The supplier GE Medical Systems Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Blood Pressure Cuff Range, including Blood Pressure Cuff Single Patient Multi Use, Blood Pressure Cuff Multi Patient Use, Blood Pressure Cuff  Accessories, and Blood Pressure Cuff Pack.
• 77 product codes within the current Blood Pressure, Cuffs and Support Products Framework and 8 product codes within the new total Patient Assessment Device Solutions Framework.
• There are no anticipated clinical or patient safety implications for customers, provided that suitable alternative products remain available throughout the transition period.
• The supply issue is due to stock shortage.

Impact:          

• All the affected product codes are currently suspended and unavailable to order.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue for the affected products.

• We are currently sourcing further alternatives and updates will be made to the product listing as soon as possible.
• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 1 September 2026.
