Change:
- The supplier Greiner Bio-One Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Venous Serum Tube products.
- There are 13 product codes affected.
- A contamination issue occurred during manufacturing, so manufacturing was temporarily paused. This has now resumed but there will be some knock-on impacts to get stock into the network.
- Due to this ongoing supply issue some of these products are now being threshold managed as they are subject to Protect Demand Management.
Impact:
- KFK342, KFK383 and KFK061 are currently suspended and unavailable to order.
- KFK259, KFK059, KFK304 and KFK208 are subject to Protect Demand Management.
- Six remaining products are currently subject to intermittent supply.
- The products subject to Protect Demand Management are available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
