Supply Issues KCI Medical Limited Barrier Film Products ELY040 and ELY038 (ICN 3483)

Change:

• The supplier KCI Medical Limited has informed us of a supply issue with its barrier film products.
• There are two products affected:
  • ELY040 – Barrier film spray no sting sterile 28ml Pump Action
  • ELY038 – Barrier film foam applicator no sting sterile 1ml.
• KCI Medical Limited have advised they are experiencing an issue with their ERP system and it is affecting their ability to ship over to Europe.
• Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.

Impact:

• ELY040 and ELY038 are available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
• Potential indirect alternative products are available to order through our online catalogue.

• KCI Medical Limited are taking action to resolve these issues. The US distribution centre is prioritising international shipments by changing to air freight transportation of constrained products.
