Supply Issues KCI Medical Ltd Change of Supply Route Multiple Products (ICN 2847)

• The supply issue with products from KCI Medical Limited due to a change of supply route is now resolved.
• 213 product codes are now available to order through our online catalogue.
• Nine products have been delisted and are no longer available to order through our online catalogue:
  • ELA1173, ELA1174, ELA1175, ELA1176, ELA1177, ELA1180, ETC85011, ETC85012 and FBE278.
• This ICN is now closed.

Change:

• We have been working with KCI Medical Ltd to remove their existing products from the Blue Diamond route.
• There are 222 product codes affected.
• KCI Medical Ltd are in progress of setting up the new route and in the short-term have taken the decision to implement some temporary changes while a long-term solution is accomplished. This is to ensure the continuity of supply for lines with the greatest usage and criticality.

Impact:

• Products will be moved to either a stocked or eDirect route, offering customers far greater accessibility and visibility of transactions compared with Blue Diamond.
• This will lead to an estimated 5% increase in delivered service level for these products.
• In addition, the removal of internal consolidation processes associated with Blue Diamond will reduce lead times by up to 72 hours for 60% of the impacted product demand and by 48 hours for the remaining 40%.
• 129 product codes will be moved to the eDirect route with an extended lead time of 20 days, orders will then be fulfilled once a long-term eDirect solution is in place.
• Four product codes are moving to our stocked route.
• 45 product codes are suspended until a long-term eDirect solution is in place.

• Three product codes are being delisted from our online catalogue.
