- The supplier Mediq Healthcare UK Ltd has advised NHS Supply Chain that their manufacturer, FRA Production S.p.A., has entered administration and expects to cease production of Surgifix Bandage Elastic Net Retention Rolls by October 2026.
- NHS Supply Chain will look to secure any remaining stock that may be available and will then make the remaining products from this range available whilst stocks last.
- Two product codes are delisted and unavailable to order from our online catalogue:
- EGT001 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll Size 0.5 – fingers and toes
- EGT541 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll Size 4 – childs limb adult foot.
- Three further product codes are now available while stocks last, once depleted they will no longer be available to order:
- EGT543 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll – Size 5 – adult limb
- EGT002 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll – Size 8 – large pelvis and chest
- EGT535 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll Size 1 – fingers and toes.
- One previously affected product is now available while stocks last, once depleted it will no longer be available to order:

- Five products that are currently suspended are now available while stocks last, once depleted they will no longer be available to order:
- EGT537 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll Size 2 – childs hand
- EGT539 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll Size 3 – childs limb adult hand
- EGT549 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll Size 7 – medium pelvis and chest
- EIJ389 – Bandage elastic net retention 25m roll – Size 9.
- 9 product codes are affected in total.

- Customers are asked to check these alternatives carefully, due to the market dominance of the Surgifix range, like-for-like alternatives are not readily available and there are significant differences in the products being offered as alternatives including different sizing methodologies and materials.
- The most common attribute from Surgifix is to secure primary dressings, the alternatives listed are products that achieve a similar effect although are not tubular net bandages, alternative products that may also be considered include tubular elastic bandages or elastic net bandages.
- NHS Supply Chain are actively engaging with suppliers to identify replacement products at the earliest opportunity; our current expected timelines are that replacement products will be available by the end of October 2026.
