Change:

• The supplier Medtronic has informed us of a supply issue with its Reloadable Stapler and Surgineedle products.
• There are three product codes affected:
  • FGE3243 – Veress Needle
  • FGS179 – Open Thoracic Abdominal Stapler
  • FGS182 – Open Thoracic Abdominal Stapler.
• The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues.

Impact:          

• All the affected product codes are currently subject to intermittent supply.
• There are potential indirect alternatives for FGE3243. These products are available to order through our online catalogue.
• We are currently sourcing further alternatives and updates will be made to the product listing as soon as possible.

• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 30 May 2025.
