- NHS Supply Chain has an incident team managing this disruption and continues to work with NHS England and the Department for Health and Social Care to provide a system wide response.
Overall position:
- Stryker’s supply, manufacturing, and operational capabilities are now fully back to business as usual.
- Stryker has issued the following message for trusts: “We would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to NHS Supply Chain and the wider NHS estate and stakeholders for their support throughout what has been a challenging period.”

- Long Term Consignment (LTC) inventory is available across the network.
- All products available on NHS Supply Chain frameworks should continue to be ordered through the eDirect route on the NHS Supply Chain catalogue to ensure national visibility allowing NHS England to enable any central control required. This has been agreed with Stryker and will be reviewed regularly. We will communicate any future changes via this ICN.
- Under the eDirect route, in line with normal back order line processes for all suppliers, if Stryker cannot fulfil an order in full, they will supply what they can and cancel the remaining items. NHS Supply Chain receives a daily list of orders where this has occurred, and our National Admin Team will rekey the order for Stryker to fulfil the outstanding items at a later point.
- You do not need to take any action as NHS Supply Chain will manage on your behalf. You will lose visibility of the order for a brief period but as soon as the order is rekeyed, you will be able to view it as normal.
