• The supplier Stryker UK Limited has informed us of a supply issue with its Exeter Long Modular Cemented Stem products.
• There are six product codes affected:
  • FJD2042, FJD2043, FJD2028, FJD2029, FJD2030 and FJD2031.
• The supply issue is due to sterilisation yield.
• Manufacturing is reported as performing on plan; however, a reduced number of implants are being supplied to the market due to lower than expected sterilisation yield, limited to the long stem variants.

Impact:          

• All affected product codes are still available to order on an intermittent supply basis.
• There are a limited number of potential alternative implants, however because they would require a different procedure and procedure specific tooling combined with other clinical implications and considerations, they are not listed as alternatives on the product listing, or in our online catalogue.

• The supply issue is anticipated to be resolved by 31 March 2025.
