Supply Issues Teleflex Medical Self-Retaining and Intermittent Catheters (ICN 2699)

Important Customer Notice Status Update Type Supply Disruption

Ref: 2024/2699 ICN Number: 2699

Teleflex has advised that due to continued surges in global demand on catheters, they are unable to meet the demand to manufacture of catheter products. Teleflex has committedly ramped up production at its manufacturing plant, but this remains insufficient to meet current demand levels.

Teleflex is regularly reviewing the situation, which includes maximizing production capacity, accelerating shipments via air freight to ensure continuity of supply and on certain lines providing NHS Supply Chain with short term volume commitment, focused on stocked lines. They anticipate that normal levels of supply will be resumed in the first quarter of 2026.

In the interim, we will continue to receive intermittent supply of stocked and non-stocked product lines, however Teleflex has committed to fulfilling NHS Supply Chain orders as top priority.

How we are supporting:

We will continue to update the Product Listing on this ICN on a regular basis with the latest codes on suspension or intermittent supply, along with any direct or indirect alternatives.  We will also regularly discuss recovery plans with Teleflex, working with them to ensure key milestones and dates are met, until normal levels of supply are resumed.
