Change:
- The supplier Urgo has informed us of a supply issue with its Bandage Compression products.
- One product affected is affected:
- EBA060 – Bandage compression 4 layer kit component Type 3C High compression (Layer 3) 10cm x 3m unstretched.
- The supply issue is due to supplier manufacturing issues as the last batch failed the in-house quality inspection.
- Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.
Impact:
- EBA060 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
- Once the current stock is depleted the product code will be unavailable to order.
- This product is part of three-layer kit, unfortunately there are no alternatives available. Customers will be able to choose a different compression kit. This will be down to clinical preference due to ranges and sizes available.
