Change:
- The supplier Zoll Medical UK Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its Defibrillation Pads.
- Three product codes are affected:
- FDJ1736, FDJ8367 and FDJ8385.
- The supply issue is due to raw material shortage.
Impact:
- Two affected products are currently subject to intermittent supply:
- FDJ1736 and FDJ8385.
- One affected product is currently suspended and unavailable to order:
- FDJ8367.
- Three product codes are affected in total.
- There are potential direct and indirect alternatives for some of the products. These products are available to order through our online catalogue.

- Direct alternative FDJ2107 suitable for affected product FDJ1736:
- Does not offer CPR feedback
- Only change to clinical practice to note, would be that the direct alternative can be applied both AA (Anterior-Anterior) and AP (Anterior-Posterior) as per packaging instructions, so clinical end user to be cognisant of these placement options.
- Indirect alternative FDJ432 suitable for affected product FDJ8367:
- There is no change to clinical practice to the alternative, except the connector is a small grey connector, not a green one, but obvious on how to connect.
- Indirect alternatives suitable for affected product FDJ8385:
- FDJ1722 – No clinical changes, just that the direct alternative does not offer CPR feedback
- FDJ8191 – Pedi-padz electrodes do not automatically adjust the Joule setting and must be manually adjusted to a safe paediatric level. Pedi-padz electrodes do not offer CPR feedback
- FDJ85161 – Pedi-padz electrodes do not automatically adjust the Joule setting and must be manually adjusted to a safe paediatric level. Pedi-padz electrodes do not offer CPR feedback.
