NHS Supply Chain are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Clinical Fellow with a strong interest in cancer care and service transformation to join our team. This role focuses on analysing and improving cancer pathways from diagnosis through to treatment, with particular attention to how emerging service models—such as Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) — will shape future delivery.

Working in collaboration with our Commercial clinical colleagues, you will be an integral part of the clinical pathway design, product evaluation, and strategic development, contributing to the creation of a core cancer pathway product offering and supporting the development of category strategies that may include medical devices.

Your work will help drive improvements in the quality of cancer care, ensuring pathways are efficient, evidence-based, and supported by the right products and technologies.

Every day you will …

  • Analyse and optimise end-to-end cancer pathways (referral to treatment), identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, standardisation, and patient outcomes.
  • Evaluate the impact of Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) and support service redesign to enhance early diagnosis and pathway flow.
  • Review and assess medical technologies and devices, ensuring alignment with clinical best practice, innovation, and national product specifications.
  • Support development of core product offerings and category strategies, ensuring consistent, high-quality care and value for money.
  • Engage with clinical, procurement, and policy stakeholders, translating insights into actionable recommendations to strengthen service delivery.

What can we offer you?

We want to reward you for your passion, enthusiasm, and hard work so we offer much more than a competitive salary:

  • Hybrid working opportunities, giving you the flexibility to work collaboratively in the office and remotely.
  • We recognise our employees’ hard work and contributions with annual bonus schemes, long service, and VIP colleagues awards.
  • 27 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase an additional 5 days.
  • We are dedicated to your development, through in-house training, support, and access to external qualifications to maximise your potential.
  • A focus on your well-being offering 1 day of paid well-being leave and free access to the 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
  • Generous pension scheme (with us contributing 12% when you contribute 6%)
  • Access to our Flexible Benefits Scheme, where you can choose from a variety of benefits such as Life Insurance, Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection, Health Cash Plan, Dental Insurance, and additional pension contributions that suit you.
  • 2 days of paid volunteering leave allowing you to give back to your community.
  • Access to many discounts from the Blue Light Card to NHS Discounts.
