Purpose of the role
What does a Data Maintenance Team Lead do at NHS Supply Chain?
A Data Maintenance Team Lead supports a team of 5-8 Data Maintenance Associates who are responsible for updating various data fields in NHS Supply Chain systems – including but not limited to contract, supplier and product data. The team supports the business’s contract launch and customer opportunities pipelines, and the Data Maintenance Team Lead coordinates activities to ensure that timelines are met and any challenges escalated.
Responsibilities
Create and populate a team workload and resource planner/rota and allocate tasks to ensure that all activities, both scheduled and unplanned, are actioned in accordance with team SLAs, keeping key stakeholders updated in terms of progress
Oversee a triage, prioritisation and escalation process to help with the planning of workload and management of stakeholders’ expectations
Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of team process SOPs, data quality standards, and SLA-setting
Participate in Commercial Contract Governance and assorted other ‘Maintenance’ project calls, updating cross-functional teams on Data Management’s progress and challenges
Support the Data Maintenance Manager in reporting workload outstanding and completed, as well as team performance and SLAs, highlighting areas requiring development
Oversee team recruitment and training
Assist team members in setting and meeting their objectives
Promote a committed collaborative approach to ways of working within the team, promoting process improvement and idea generation
What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?
Line management experience and/or similar experience
IT Skills including MS Excel
High level of accuracy
Well organized, structured and methodical approach to work

Hybrid working; a blend of home and office working 2/3 days in the office and 2/3 days at home.
