Salary: £34,364 with the potential to rise to £38,182 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a paralegal to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
NHS Supply Chain is undergoing an exciting period of transformation, and we’re looking for a Paralegal to join a supportive Legal team that provides high‑quality advice across a diverse range of projects and contracts that impact patient care.
In this role, you’ll deliver pragmatic legal advice and administrative support, working closely with Legal Business Partners as well as colleagues across Commercial, IT and wider cross-functional teams. You’ll play a key role in contract reviews, legal research, and improvements to processes that strengthen governance across the business.

Carry out legal research to support the analysis of legal and contractual issues.
Monitor and manage tender and contract timelines.
Support Legal Business Partners by preparing reports, contract summaries and legal documents.
Handle routine legal queries using established procedures and precedents.
Develop a working knowledge of organisational policies and statutory requirements.
Identify and escalate legal risks where appropriate.
Support the resolution of legal queries and stakeholder issues.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the business.
Engage in key meetings with internal stakeholders, Legal Business Partners and the wider Legal Team and take ownership of resulting actions and queries.

Essential
Part qualified or currently studying towards a legal qualification.
Strong IT skills, including confidence using MS Office applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Clear, confident communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
A logical and analytical approach to problem‑solving.
Confidence in building and maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders.
Desirable
Previous experience working in a paralegal or legal support role.
Exposure to commercial contracts and/or procurement law.
