NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Performance and Capability Coordinator to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first and to deliver against our strategic objectives.

Keeps performance and capability activity running smoothly The Performance and Capability Coordinator plays a vital role in enabling capability uplift by ensuring the smooth delivery of training programmes.

Through effective coordination, accurate record-keeping, budget tracking and responsive support, this role contributes to high-quality performance management processes and training, high-quality learner experiences, inclusive learning operations and a cost-effective approach. It’s the practical backbone of the Performance and Capability team, ensuring great ideas turn into consistent and well-run delivery.  

Every day you will …

You’ll sit at the heart of People team, in the performance and talent team. Working in collaboration with colleagues from across the people team as well as business leads, you’ll co-create solutions that build capability and high performance.  You will work with the Finance and Procurement teams to support the procurement, contracting and tracking of suppliers and their services.

  • Manage training, programmes and initiatives schedules bookings, resources, and logistics to ensure smooth delivery. Manage invites, materials, logistics such as venue bookings and learner evaluation.
  • Support performance management tools, processes and development activities, assisting with reporting metrics and reports as well uploading these on Pulse. Support the implementation of functional academies and related content updates as needed. Partner with Performance & Capability Lead and Talent Development team on rollout of communications.
  • Maintain accurate training records, communications and produce timely reporting. Prepare dashboards and reports on learning participation, completion and progress sharing key learner insights providing recommendations for consideration. 
  • Collaborate with trainers, learners, and managers to support effective learning experiences. Provide professional and responsive support to learners and facilitators, aligned to our values and behaviours.
  • Partner with the Instructional Designer to support digital content upload, quality checks and learning management delivery. Utilise LMS to best use, working with People Technology and Optimisation team to share opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage all budget tracking to ensure accurate budget spend and supplier tracking. Liaise with external providers for learning delivery, logistics and evaluations.

What skills will help you thrive in this role? 

  • Experience managing schedules, bookings, logistics, and resources across multiple programmes and initiatives.
  • Skilled in using learning management systems (LMS) and digital tools to support training delivery and tracking.
  • Experience in supporting performance management processes to ensure effective processes and reporting
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and produce clear, timely reports to support learning operations.
  • Experience in managing and tracking budgets, supplier liaison and contract management, using the relevant on line tools and processes
  • Experience providing professional support to learners, facilitators, and managers to ensure a positive training experience.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities while maintaining high standards
