Salary: £46,524 with potential to rise to £54,735 over 3 years

NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a Principal Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Principal Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst who will be a key member of the Finance Team, providing the focal point for the consolidation of monthly financial figures for publication in the Executive Team Finance pack (e.g. profit and loss), liaising with many other Finance colleagues to ensure accurate, insightful and timely management information is produced. In addition, the post holder will play a pivotal role in the forecasting and analysis of sales and margin, and consolidating the overall company financial position
Every day you will …
- Act as the focal point for the consolidation of the monthly financial figures for review by the Executive Team.
- Coordinate and support production of a full profit and loss forecast every quarter.
- Coordinate and present detailed, insightful sales and margin analysis on a rolling monthly basis, whilst providing key decision support to the leadership team
- Play a leading role in the production of the annual capital and revenue business plan for NHS Supply Chain
- Advice the business on complex sales, margin and pricing issues demonstrating an awareness of impacts on other areas of the business.
- Deputise for the Financial Planning and Reporting Lead in their absence.
- Ensure all required business materials are produced, presented, and discussed with internal and external stakeholders, both ad hoc and as part of the regular reporting process.
- Lead on development and implementation of financial improvement initiatives.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
- A recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA or CIAEW) would be an advantage
- Experience of implementing financial improvement initiatives across a complex organisation
- Providing operational and strategic decision support to Director level stakeholders
- Extensive experience in business partnering with the ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation and develop and maintain key relationships with external stakeholders
- Extensive experience in complex financial modelling
- Ability to work on own initiative and set the direction for team, with a positive can-do attitude.
