Job Title: Regional Integrated Care Systems Manager (South West)

Function: Customer, Communications and Marketing  

Location: Remote – within the South West region

Contract type: Permanent  

Salary: £56,476 per annum with potential to rise to £66,443 over 3 years

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional ICS Manager within the Customer Engagement function, supporting NHS Acute providers across the South West. This role presents a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-performing team and drive strategic impact across the ICS landscape.

The Regional ICS Manager will lead the delivery of consistent, high-quality customer engagement, translating national strategy into effective regional execution. They will be accountable for delivering growth, savings, and value outcomes aligned with organisational priorities, while building strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across NHS systems. The role will also have line management responsibility for Sub-Regional ICS Account Managers, ensuring a clear and consistent Way of Working and supporting the development of team capability.

The Regional ICS Manager will be responsible for fostering strong cross-functional relationships both internally and externally, acting as a critical link between national strategy and local delivery. They will play a key role in identifying opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement, enhancing customer experience and strengthening the organisation’s reputation and influence across the region.

Candidates will be expected to live within the South West region to ensure strong local presence and stakeholder engagement, while also being required to travel nationally as part of the role.

  

Every day you will … 

  • Leading and guiding the Sub-Regional ICS account management team, providing clear direction and support
  • Translating national and regional strategy into practical, executable plans across the South West ICS landscape
  • Building and maintaining trusted, senior-level relationships across NHS Acute providers
  • Driving consistent, high-quality customer engagement aligned to NHS system priorities
  • Delivering regional growth, savings, and value-based outcomes through effective engagement
  • Embedding and maintaining a consistent “Way of Working” (WoW) across all ICS Managers
  • Acting as a key link between national strategy and local execution
  • Coaching and developing team members to build capability and future leadership strength
  • Monitoring performance, addressing challenges, and ensuring delivery against targets
  • Proactively identifying risks or barriers, resolving issues, and escalating where necessary
  • Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across customer engagement, commercial, operational, and clinical teams
  • Strengthening the reputation and influence of the Regional ICS team internally and externally
  • Driving continuous improvement and innovation in how the team engages with customers
  • Acting as a second-line escalation point for complex stakeholder issues
