NHS Supply Chain currently has an opportunity for a to join our team during an exciting period of transformation, working to make it easier for the NHS to put patients first.
Do you enjoy turning complex ideas into clear, practical ways of working?
We are looking for an Innovation Advisor to support national innovation activity by designing, documenting, and standardising new models of working that improve productivity, safety, and sustainability across the NHS.
Working within a small, high-impact innovation team, you will focus on process design and blueprint development, ensuring that tested solutions can be implemented consistently and scaled nationally.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing structure to ambiguity, working closely with clinicians and operational teams, and producing high-quality outputs that others rely on.
Every day you will …
- Design and document end-to-end processes, workflows, and operating models for innovation initiatives.
- Translate complex, real-world operational practice into clear, structured artefacts (e.g. SOPs, guidance, playbooks).
- Support the development of national blueprints and standardised models of working.
- Work closely with clinicians, operational teams, and analysts to ensure designs are practical and credible.
- Capture learning from pilots and testing activity and embed improvements into final outputs.
- Support implementation readiness by identifying dependencies, risks, and practical considerations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design standards, templates, and documentation approaches.
