An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sustainability Specialist to drive the organisation’s sustainability ambitions and ensure environmental considerations are embedded into decision-making across the business. This role will play a key part in coordinating and delivering sustainability initiatives, balancing ambitious environmental goals with operational realities, and ensuring the organisation remains resilient in a rapidly evolving regulatory and stakeholder landscape.
Working across the business and with external suppliers, you will collaborate with senior stakeholders to turn strategic sustainability ambitions into practical initiatives, supported by robust governance, reliable data, and transparent reporting. This is an exciting opportunity to influence how sustainability is embedded across the organisation, helping to create long-term environmental, social, and commercial value while supporting our journey towards a more sustainable future.
Every day you will …
- Lead the delivery of sustainability commitments across the organisation, working collaboratively with multiple teams to drive measurable environmental and business outcomes.
- Apply sound judgement to prioritise sustainability initiatives, supporting environmental objectives, operational requirements, and emerging risks and opportunities.
- Influencing suppliers and varied stakeholders to align with sustainability expectations, improving performance and embedding sustainable practices across the value chain.
- Ensure sustainability activities, reporting, and data are accurate, evidence-based, and robust enough to support board-level reporting, assurance processes, and external scrutiny.
- Build organisational capability and awareness in sustainability, adapting approaches to evolving regulations, reporting requirements, and stakeholder expectations while supporting informed decision-making.
