An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Value Improvement Specialist play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional value for the NHS through strong supplier partnerships, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. We are seeking a proactive and analytical individual to join our team and play a key role in driving supplier performance and value improvement across our supply base.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our Supplier Improvement function, supporting the delivery of our value improvement programme through insightful analytics, project leadership, and stakeholder engagement. Working closely with the Supplier Improvement Lead and Commercial teams, you will identify opportunities to enhance supplier capability, lead improvement initiatives, and help unlock sustainable value throughout the contract lifecycle.

Every day you will …
- Identify, scope, and deliver improvement projects; removing roadblocks while maintaining strong stakeholder commitment on behalf of the Commercial function.
- Collate data and identify trends and other metrics to support in decision making and other framework processes.
- Reporting and briefing to stakeholders with clear performance updates and generating insights that strengthen decision‑making at both project and programme level.
- Deliver consistent ways of working to ensure our processes are well‑articulated and our profile is visible across the organisation, especially to Commercial stakeholders.

What skills will help you thrive in this role?
- Strong understanding of supply chain operations, with the ability to analyse manufacturer and distributor structures and map end-to-end processes.
- Experienced in creating clear process flows and visual documentation to communicate operational activities effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint for analytics, reporting, documentation, and stakeholder presentations.
- Commercially aware, with confidence in negotiation, cost modelling, and identifying opportunities to deliver business value.
- Working knowledge of project management principles, with the capability to manage projects in line with governance requirements under senior guidance.
