Health Innovation Team: Driving Better Health for All

26 March 2026

We are pleased to announce that our Innovation Team is now officially the Health Innovation Team.

This change reflects a clear and deliberate shift in emphasis, placing health outcomes and population health improvement at the centre of everything we do.

While enabling access to innovative products and supporting adoption and spread across the NHS remains fundamental, our new name more clearly signals our purpose. Every product we introduce, every partnership we build and every project we deliver is focused on improving health outcomes for patients and communities.

Aligning Innovation with NHS Priorities

The Health Innovation Team plays a key role in supporting NHS priorities by:

  • Identifying and accelerating access to innovative health products
  • Supporting adoption and spread across systems
  • Aligning innovation activity with national strategy and local system need
  • Supporting colleagues on measuring population health impact.

By strengthening the connection between innovation and outcomes, we are reinforcing our commitment to delivering value that goes beyond procurement, supporting better care, improved pathways and long-term health improvement.

A Clearer Purpose

The addition of “Health” provides clarity for suppliers, partners and NHS stakeholders. It ensures our role in health-focused innovation is immediately understood and demonstrates our commitment to supporting the NHS in delivering better outcomes for all.

We look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with partners across the system to connect innovation with meaningful health impact.

Together, we can drive better health for all.
