Launching the Cavell Clinical Procurement Awards in partnership with NHS Supply Chain
We’re excited to announce the launch of the first Cavell Clinical Procurement Awards in partnership with NHS Supply Chain, with nominations officially open from 20 April to 11 May 2026.
These awards shine a spotlight on the incredible clinical procurement professionals across the NHS, recognising those whose work is improving patient safety, enhancing outcomes, driving sustainability and championing innovation.
Clinical procurement plays a vital role in ensuring the NHS has access to the right products, equipment, and solutions to deliver safe, effective care.
By recognising the professionals driving these decisions, the Cavell Clinical Procurement Awards shine a spotlight on the people behind the process and the positive difference their work makes for patients, healthcare staff, and the wider healthcare system
Winners will be celebrated during a virtual showcase event on Tuesday 9 June at 2pm, opened by England’s Chief Nursing Officer Duncan Burton.
The event will highlight outstanding achievements across the categories and share inspiring examples of innovation and impact across the healthcare community.
As part of the launch, Heather Tierney-Moore and Lewis Allett share a video highlighting why these awards matter – and why showcasing the impact of clinical procurement is so important for the NHS.
There are exceptional individuals and teams working in clinical procurement across the NHS whose work often happens behind the scenes but has a profound impact on patient care. The Cavell Clinical Procurement Awards recognise the dedication, expertise and innovation of these professionals and celebrate the difference their decisions make every day to patients, staff and the wider health system.

Whether it’s a major project, a process improvement, a team innovation or the achievements of an up-and-coming colleague, we want to hear about the work you’re proud of.
Winners will receive a certificate and a Cavell Clinical Procurement Awards pin badge and certificate in recognition of their contribution.
See our Useful Links section to nominate someone in any one or more of the five award categories.
