Developed in collaboration with NHS Supply Chain’s Pathology team, the tool allows users to compare the total cost of ownership and energy usage of refrigeration units available through the Laboratory Diagnostics, Point of Care Testing and Pathology Managed Services framework.

By factoring in energy consumption, standing charges, and product lifespan, the calculator helps identify the most cost-effective and sustainable options supporting both Net Zero goals and budget efficiency.
