World Patient Safety Day 2024
The theme for the WHO Patient Safety Day this year is “Improving Diagnosis for Patient Safety.”
As part of our contribution to the Global Patient Safety Action Plan, NHS Supply Chain support the NHS to consistently and sustainably deliver high quality, safe care. We have an important role to play in ensuring that the internal systems and processes that we have, enable the products that we procure on behalf of the NHS, to be safe and most importantly meet the needs of patients and end users.
Products which support the accurate and timely diagnosis of patient conditions are vital in ensuring that the appropriate care pathways are defined for patients to support the cure, prevention or control of clinical conditions and ensure quality of life.
In recognition of World Patient Safety Day, we’ve asked colleagues what Patient Safety means to them within their role.
