Our Cavell Partnership – Supporting our Clinical Community
We’re proud to have a growing Clinical Community of 50 registered clinicians here at NHS Supply Chain – including nurses and midwives whose expertise shapes the way we deliver for the NHS every day. Their frontline experience ensures that patient care remains at the centre of everything we do.
But supporting those who care for others is just as important. That’s why we’ve partnered with Cavell, a charity dedicated to helping nurses, midwives, and nursing associates (NMC registered members) when life gets tough – whether that’s financial hardship, emotional stress, or simply needing someone to listen.

A New Chapter in Our Partnership
We recently announced that Heather Tierney-Moore, our Chair, has become a Patron of Cavell – a clear signal of our commitment to supporting nurses and midwives across the NHS and within our own organisation. See our Useful Links section for more on this.
Our nurses and midwives form the foundation of our organisational clinical community. They bring invaluable insight and experience to everything we do. Partnering with Cavell means we can offer real, practical support when it’s needed most – whether that’s financial help, emotional wellbeing, or simply recognition for the incredible work they do.
Michelle Johnson, Clinical Executive Director, NHS Supply Chain
I’m incredibly proud to be championing a working partnership with Cavell as throughout my nursing career I have seen first-hand how their support has really helped some of my nursing colleagues. I am excited to develop our partnership to promote and celebrate nurses and midwives who have made a positive impact on patient care and outcomes
Claire Dyson, Head of Clinical Professional Standards, NHS Supply Chain
