Update to Delivery Labels – Going Live 9 July 2025

4 July 2025

In response to requests from NHS trusts around improved delivery accuracy, we wanted to inform you about some important changes we’re making to the way information appears on our delivery labels.

Removal of Invoice Location Address from Labels

We are aware of cases where customers have mistaken the invoice address as a delivery point when looking at the delivery labels. This has led to deliveries being refused incorrectly or going to the wrong address.

Also, due to space constraints the ‘Delivery Location’ description on a label only showed the first 32 characters of the location rather than the full 40 characters that can be seen in Online Catalogue and Ordering. It is often the final eight characters that include important details to assist with internal distribution from the point of delivery.

Please note that these changes will not impact customers that currently receive their stock deliveries from the Rugby and Gorsey Point depots.

Therefore, to reduce this risk we have made the following changes:

  • Invoice location addresses will no longer appear on these labels.
  • This ensures that only the actual delivery location is displayed – helping customers and delivery drivers avoid mis-deliveries or unnecessary rejections.
  • The delivery location address is now shown in full.
  • This aligns with updates already made in other IT areas.

The images show a delivery label as it looks currently and another showing how it will look after the changes are made from 9 July 2025.
