Technology is a critical part of our NHS Supply Chain Modernisation Programme, but this is about much more than replacing old systems. 

We’re creating the foundations for a stronger, simpler and smarter NHS Supply Chain, with more integrated technology, better-quality data and processes that make it easier for our colleagues to do their jobs and for the NHS, our customers and suppliers to work with us. 

As we design our future technology landscape, we’re being guided by some clear principles: taking a cloud-first approach, improving integration and interoperability, designing around our users, and building in security, resilience and scalability from the outset. 

Just as importantly, we’ll introduce change carefully. Our phased approach will allow us to test, learn and adapt while continuing to provide the reliable service NHS organisations depend on every day.
