Win at the HCSA Awards

21 November 2025

Congratulations to our In-Hospital Services team who won the HCSA Award for Cross Functional Collaboration Project for their Inventory Management Solutions (IMS) and Point of Care (PoC) programme. Our team were also finalists at the HSJ awards on the same night.

This is an outstanding achievement and highlights the fantastic work of the IMS programme which has successfully gone live in 19 NHS trusts, across 82 locations, spanning multiple clinical specialities.

Delivering IT and Change is a challenge in any environment, but this collaborative team has achieved unprecedented progress in connecting supply chain and patient care.

Massive congratulations to everyone involved and the best of luck in delivering the next phase.

In-Hospital Services team who won the HCSA Award for Cross Functional Collaboration Project for their Inventory Management Solutions (IMS)

On average, 700 clinical hours per year have been saved per trust, freeing up time for patient care, with initial savings of over £5.8 million recorded as of November 2025.

The IMS system has not only enhanced operational efficiency, but it has also strengthened patient safety and care delivery – setting a new benchmark in digital driven productivity in the NHS. Delivered in partnership with NHS England, GS1 UK, Scan4Safety, suppliers, IT providers, NHS trusts and frontline teams, this initiative lays the foundation for a scalable, data-driven national programme with a clear roadmap for growth, driving smarter, safer, and more efficient healthcare across the NHS.
