This framework starts on 1 October 2018, runs for 48 months and ends on 30 September 2022. This includes a 24 months extension.


The framework is merging two existing framework agreements, Infusion Pumps and Associated Products with Administration Sets and Associated Products. This will provide a one stop shop for trusts when reviewing their Infusion Pumps, Administration Sets and Associated Products requirements.

  • 73 new Administration Sets will be added to the framework.
  • Administration Sets are supplied via Stocked, Blue Diamond and eDirect routes.
  • Infusion Pumps are supplied via the eDirect route. Please contact your Account Manager for further details on installation and training.
  • Disposable Infusion Pumps will be supplied via the Blue Diamond route.
  • Trusts may want to run clinical trials on new products on the framework.


  • The framework offers potential savings, in particular on the Gravity Administration Sets range due to threshold pricing being put in place.
  • Bespoke pricing will continue on this framework.

  • A total of 41 NPC codes have been delisted.
  • 17 Administration Sets being delisted do not have any alternatives listed against them.
  • Trusts should be aware that this includes FKA003 (Administration sets for pump and gravity Colleague pumps) which has no alternative.
  • Infusion Pumps are trust specific so no alternatives are mapped.

The new framework will include 16 suppliers bringing niche pumps to the Infusion Pumps Administration Sets and Associated Products framework and lower priced alternatives to the gravity sets market, increasing competition and providing savings opportunities to trusts.

Two new suppliers are being added to this framework in total, one supplier is new to NHS Supply Chain.

13 suppliers are incumbent on the framework.

Two suppliers – Bunzl Healthcare and Sarstedt – have been delisted.
