The new framework starts on 1 February 2023, will run for 24 months and ends on 31 January 2025. There is an option to extend for an additional 24 months.

Areas Covered

This framework is split into seven lots:

• Lot 1 – Synthetic Hair wigs
  Ready to wear hair replacement solutions designed to provide a natural appearance and improve confidence for individuals experiencing hair loss.
• Lot 2 – Human Hair Wigs
  High quality, natural-looking wigs crafted from real human hair, offering a realistic alternative for those requiring long term or specialised hair replacement solutions.
• Lot 3 – Headwear Products
  A range of products designed to provide comfort, protection and style for individuals.
• Lot 4 – Maintenance Products
  A variety of care and styling products formulated to extend the lifespan and maintain the quality of wigs and hairpieces.
• Lot 5 – Custom Made Wigs
  Bespoke wigs tailored to individual needs, providing a personalised solution for those requiring specific styles, fits or medical-grade hair replacements.
• Lot 6 – Supply and Fit
  A comprehensive service covering the supply, professional fitting, and adjustment of wigs to ensure optimal comfort and appearance.
• Lot 7 – Alteration and Repair
  Services to modify, resize, or restore wigs, ensuring they continue to meet the wearer’s needs and maintain their quality over time.

A wide variety of bespoke and off the peg wigs will be available sourced from local hairdressers and wig shops, as well as national wholesalers.

Most suppliers offer wigs on a supply only basis or supply and fit with an offer of hospital and domestic visits for patients.
