See our Downloads ▼ section for the full product listing on the Framework Matrices.
Resilience
Our enhanced understanding of the global manufacturing landscape, shaped by COVID‑19 and the supply chain disruptions that followed, enables us to better anticipate potential risks and strengthen our sourcing strategies by building greater resilience into them.
For this framework we adopted measures including using non-financial questions to understand suppliers’ management of growth and continuity of supply for customers, to ensure that they can manage growth and cope with fluctuations in demand effectively, as this framework has a dominant supplier.
How to purchase from the framework
Products available via our stocked and eDirect supply routes can be purchased using our online catalogue or through your own purchase-to-pay system.
Important notice – for stocked products only.
Following the move to Buy Price = Sell Price, new contract / framework prices will only come into effect when stock of all products at the old contract / framework price has been depleted.
Ordering samples
Product samples are available free of charge from all the suppliers on the framework.
Please note that the decision to supply samples, along with the unit of issue, supplied quantity, time to supply nature of any request, is solely the decision of the relevant supplier(s).
Requests for samples should initially be discussed with your NHS Supply Chain ICS Manager. They will then work with you and the respective supplier(s) to agree requests and order on your behalf.
Savings Opportunities
Product switching will be available following the start of the framework. Analysis has taken place to highlight cost effective alternatives and to identify switch and rationalisation opportunities. If you are interested in further information about product switching, please speak to our Acute team.
See our Useful Links section for your NHS Supply Chain ICS Manager contacts details.
Information for Clinical Choice (ICC) will be available on this framework at go-live to highlight the clinical suitability of alternative products which could deliver savings.
Sustainability and Social Value
Sustainability, net zero and social value are important elements in how NHS Supply Chain build our framework offering through the procurement process, tendering, supplier award and contract management. There are five mandatory requirements for suppliers to address supporting compliance with relevant PPNs and NHS England policy.
- Carbon Reduction Plan (PPN 006)
- Evergreen Assessment
- Modern Slavery Assessment (PPN 009)
- Social Value (PPN 002)
- NHS England Net Zero Supplier Roadmap and Horizon Scanning.
Awarded suppliers meet the current milestones on the net zero roadmap and have awareness and understanding of future milestones.
Social value

About the products
The products supplied under this framework are a range of infection control wipes and accessories essential for removing dirt and killing harmful microorganisms on surfaces and equipment. They help remove and kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi that can cause healthcare‑associated infections (HCAIs).
Clean indicator notes and tape are used in healthcare to visually confirm that cleaning has been completed, supporting infection prevention, clear communication, patient safety, and efficient clinical operations. They provide reassurance and clarity but do not replace cleaning or disinfecting processes.
Combined detergent and disinfection wipes are used in healthcare to clean and disinfect surfaces in one step, helping to maintain a safe clinical environment, reduce infection risk, and support effective infection control practices.
Detergent wipes are used in healthcare to clean surfaces by removing dirt and organic matter, reduce microbial contamination through physical removal, and prepare surfaces for effective disinfection where needed. They are most appropriate for routine cleaning and low‑risk areas, not for infection control situations that require disinfection.
Sporicidal wipes are used in healthcare settings to destroy bacterial spores, particularly in situations involving C. diff or outbreak management. They play a critical role in enhanced and terminal cleaning, helping to prevent severe and persistent infections that standard cleaning products cannot adequately control.
