The 3Dimensions™ 2D Mobile Digital Mammography system is an NHS Breast Screening Programme (NHSBSP) approved mammography system which can be used by mammographers and suitably qualified HCP’s for the screening and diagnosis of breast cancer.

The 2D system can be configured as a static system (3DM-SYS-INTL2D) or as a mobile unit (3DM-SYS-INTL2D-MOB). The 3Dimensions 2D platform can also be upgraded easily: The system can be calibrated to deliver standard resolution images (100 micron) or can be upgraded to deliver high resolution Imaging (70 micon unbinned spatial resolution) which further enhances the detection of microcalcifications and early-stage abnormalities, crucial for the early diagnosis of breast cancer. A range of diagnostic, screening and magnfication paddles come as standard. Three SmartCurve™ breast stabilisation system paddles are also provided, these are curved to improve comfort for patients. The SmartCurve™ mini paddle accommodates patients with small breasts, including men, and makes it easier to image implant displacement views. Fast paddle technology ensures consistent compression across the entire breast without over-compression at the chest wall and facilitates a more comfortable examination for patients. 

Ergonomic Package (Ergo) – biometric login and powered memory height adjustment ensures the acquisition workstation monitors, barcode reader and operational controls are at a comfortable level for users of different heights.

• Scan time – a fast scan time of 3.7 seconds results in a short breast compression time for patients and a short total examination time.
• Integrated smart positioning feature – enables users to quickly move the tube head into the Mediolateral Oblique (MLO) position for improved access to the breast supporting faster workflow.
• Paddles – a range of diagnostic, screening and magnification paddles come as standard.
• The direct conversion amorphous selenium detector preserves image sharpness by completely eliminating the image-degrading effects of light diffusion.
• Hologic systems are supported by a dedicated team of clinical applications and field service engineers. Additional full access to technical support from the solutions centre is provided via e-mail or telephone.
