Richard Wolf Piranha is a tissue morcellator designed to support safe and controlled morcellation following holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP). It is intended to provide reliable performance, smooth tissue removal and efficient workflow integration within urology theatres. The system is supplied as a complete configuration of core components required for standard operation, with the exception of consumables, which are not included.

At the centre of the system is the motor control unit, which manages rotational speed and ensures consistent, stable cutting performance during morcellation. It works in conjunction with the suction pump, which provides steady aspiration to support clear visualisation and effective removal of tissue fragments. Together, these units help maintain a controlled environment during the procedure, reducing interruptions and supporting procedural efficiency.

The package includes three tissue morcellator handpieces, allowing clinical teams flexibility during use and the option to rotate or replace handpieces as needed throughout the working day. A footswitch is provided to allow hands‑free control of key functions, supporting smooth operation and reducing the need for manual adjustments.

Additional system elements supplied include a bottle mount for secure placement of collection bottles, a sound absorber to help minimise noise within the theatre environment, and a secretion container for safe and contained fluid management. The system cover is included to support protection and tidiness when the equipment is not in active use. All required connection cables for standard system assembly and operation are also provided.

The configuration is completed with the Richard Wolf morcellator cart, designed to hold and organise the full system. It offers stable placement, integrated cable management and practical mobility, allowing the unit to be easily moved between theatres or storage areas as required.

This full package provides a ready‑to‑use setup for hospitals adopting or expanding HoLEP services. Consumables required for ongoing use are not supplied and should be sourced separately, in line with clinical demand and manufacturer guidance.
