The Richard Wolf PIRANHA is a high-speed tissue morcellator designed for use following Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP). After enucleated prostate tissue is released into the bladder, the PIRANHA fragments and removes it in a controlled and efficient manner. It is used by urologists performing Endoscopic Enucleation of the Prostate (EEP), recommended in European Association of Urology (EAU) guidelines as first-line treatment for Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) in glands over 80g.

Clinicians use the PIRANHA to support efficient morcellation, reliable tissue capture, and optimal specimen retrieval for pathological assessment. Its optimised blade geometry, high-torque motor, and enlarged suction window minimise the “ping-pong effect,” enabling stable tissue capture and smooth performance. Dual operating modes allow easy switching between suction and active morcellation.
The system includes a motor control unit, suction pump, three morcellator handpieces, footswitch, bottle mount, sound absorber, secretion container, system cover, and all required connection cables.
