Change:
- This Nationally Contracted Product (NCP) has been introduced to rationalise the chlorine product range and deliver cost savings for NHS trusts. The activity supports improved value, reduced variation, and a more resilient supply base across the NHS.
- The procurement exercise has achieved a national savings opportunity of 44% (£684,412.52 including VAT)** for the NHS.
- The products under this NCP are chlorine releasing tablets with and without detergent and chlorine dilution vessels.
Impact:
- Guest Medical Limited and GV Health are the two successful suppliers awarded on the NCP and have been awarded on 70 / 30 percentage volume split.
- All awarded products are already available within the NHS and through our supply route.
- The new pricing will come into effect on 16 June 2026.
