Supply Issues B Braun Cannulation Packs Chloraprep Multiple Products (ICN 3421)

• The supply issue with cannulation packs from B Braun has improved.
• Five affected products are no longer suspended and are now available to order through our online catalogue:
  • FSP2487, FVN85030, FSP3479, FSP2223 and FSP2488.
• One affected product is now available while stock lasts. Once depleted the product will be delisted from our online catalogue and no longer available to order:
  • FSP3482.
• Seven affected products remain suspended and unavailable to order:
  • FSP4915, FSP2489, FSP3480, FSP3481, FSP4916, FSP4914 and FVN85033.
• Seven products are now affected in total.
• Unfortunately, there are still no alternatives available. Customers are advised to view the online catalogue for products they deem suitable.

• We will continue to review the stock to minimise further disruption and will update this ICN as soon as we have further information.
• The supply issue is still anticipated to be resolved by 31 August 2026.

Change:

• The supplier B Braun has informed us of a supply issue with its cannulation packs products.
• There are 13 product codes affected.
• The supply issue is due to a component shortage.
• There has been a recall on Chloraprep which is a component in these cannulation packs that is causing this supply issue.  See our Useful Links section for more information.

Impact:          

• All the affected product codes are currently suspended and unavailable to order.
• Unfortunately, there are no alternatives available. Customers are advised to view the online catalogue for products they deem suitable.
