- The supplier Vygon UK Ltd has informed us of a supply issue with its needlefree bag spike Bionector spike products.
- There is one product affected:
- FSB730 – Needlefree bag spike Bionector spike for use when aspirating or adding fluids to iv bags or bottles.
- The supply issue is due to increased demand.
- Due to this ongoing supply issue this product is now being threshold managed as it is subject to Protect Demand Management.
Impact:
- FSB730 is available to order through NHS Supply Chain while our current stocks last. However, trusts are allocated a maximum daily quantity or “threshold” to ensure fair supply of available stock across the NHS.
- Unfortunately, there are no alternatives available.
- Direct alternative FSW288 is suspended and currently an affected product.
