This framework starts on 27 July 2026, runs for 24 months and ends on 26 July 2028. There is an option to extend for an additional 24 months.

This replaces the former Cardiac Diagnostics Equipment Technologies and Related Equipment and Services framework.

Resilience

Our increased knowledge of the global manufacturing base following COVID-19 and subsequent global supply challenges means we are better able to identify potential risks and mitigate them by building resilience into our sourcing strategies.

For this framework we are adopting measures including requesting Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation.

How to purchase from the framework

This is a direct framework agreement. To order products:

• Customers will need to obtain a quotation through our Category team, or via the supplier direct.
• Quotes will be validated by the Electrocardiograph (ECG) team, and a Unique Reference Number (URN) will be provided which will need to be quoted on your purchase to order from the supplier.

Pathways – Remote diagnostic and interpretation services may support home-based monitoring pathways, improving patient convenience, reducing the need for appointments where clinically appropriate, and enabling earlier access to diagnostic services. 

Equipment lifecycle and circular economy – Suppliers may offer equipment lifecycle management solutions, including take-back schemes, refurbishment, redeployment, asset recovery or responsible end-of-life disposal arrangements where appropriate. These approaches can support a circular economy by extending asset life, reducing waste and improving resource efficiency.

Energy efficiency and carbon reduction – Remote interpretation services can support more efficient patient pathways by reducing the need for some face-to-face appointments and unnecessary travel where clinically appropriate, helping to reduce carbon emissions and support NHS sustainability objectives.

Consumables and supply chain – Advances in device connectivity and digital integration can enable ECG recordings to be transferred electronically into clinical systems, reducing reliance on paper-based processes and supporting more efficient use of consumables.

Digital transformation – Advances in connected monitoring technologies may support real-time remote patient monitoring, enabling clinical data to be reviewed remotely and supporting more digitally enabled models of care.
